  12. We at Hawaii Online are also having many problems with those damn MWaves.
  13. They either don't connect, or get trash, or disconnect.  We've tried all
  14. sort of variatons on the standard troubleshooting techniques.
  15. We discovered at&f\n0%c0"h0 helps about 1 in 10 times.  And I think you're
  16. supposed to run the MWModem program first.  
  17. I called IBM tech support and the guy I talked to was slightly rude and
  18. basically said he wouln't help me.  I asked if he could please provide me
  19. with any troubleshooting tips or important info we should know about the 
  20. MWaves.  He said "I can't help you with that sir."  Geez thanks.  He did
  21. give me a fax number to fax my questions to.  I faxed a sheet off a week 
  22. and a half ago. I explained we need help getting MWaves to connect to
  23. our US Robotics Total Control Racks.  I explained that we have been, and
  24. will continue, to recommend to our customers to not use MWave modems, until
  25. we get this resolved.  I guess IBM doesn't care whether people buy their
  26. products or not, as I've recieved no reply.  
  27. Of course, we do have some users who can connect just fine--so it's not
  28. all Mwaves.  But I don't even know how one would start checking an MWave.
  29. IBM, if you're listening, WAKE UP YOUR MODEMS STINK!!! AND START GIVING
  30. HELP ON GETTING THEM TO WORK!!!
  31. Phew.  I feel better.
  32. So anybody else have any suggestions on getting them to connect?  I'm going to
  33. try that -sse1.
